Ironworm announced: 10tons Promises a Hard Rocking Action Platformer

Feb 15, 2012

TAMPERE, Finland – February 15, 2012 – 10tons Ltd announced today Ironworm, a hard rocking action game with a unique control scheme. Ironworm will be available on most mobile platforms soon.

“A tree of gigantic proportions grows beyond the Skull Peaks. The tiny inhabitants of the tree have waged a war for decades. Today the ages old tree bears witness as Ironworm, the most legendary hero of worms, challenges the enemy leader Boss Bug to the final battle.”

Swingworm by 10tons introduced brand new worm physics gameplay that gained a lot of positive feedback. Swingworm was about navigating through levels, but this time it’s all about the fight and survival. Ironworm features heaps of enemies and a heavy metal attitude with a dark sense of humor. The gameplay remains intuitive: simply grab, drag and swing Ironworm by the head or tail to navigate the levels and smash enemies.

“Ironworm was built to be fun and challenging. We already had a cool worm game engine and we wanted to build something different with it after Swingworm. We really love the end result, it has an awesome attitude and it’s loads of fun.”, commented Sampo Töyssy from 10tons.

Ironworm marches in a cavalcade of buzzing enemies. Some will mercilessly home in on the squishy hero, others will shoot from the distance or even explode in his face. At the end of this grim journey awaits the final challenge: The villainous Boss Bug himself.

Ironworm will be available from the iTunes App Store within two weeks. Other platforms will also follow later. Contact sampot (at) 10tons (dot) com for promo codes and other information.
