TAMPERE, Finland - February 3, 2012 - 10tons announces the Mac App Store Competition winners and launches a Grand Mac App Store Sale that lasts through the weekend. All Mac App Store games are available for $1.99 starting immediately and ending on Monday.

The winners were picked randomly from among everyone who joined 10tons' Mac OS X mailing list before January 22nd 2012. All five winners received the following games from the Mac App Store: Sparkle, Azkend HD, Miriel's Enchanted Mystery HD, Miriel the Magical Merchant HD, Heroes of Kalevala HD, Joining Hands, and Swingworm. The total non-discounted value of all games is over 40 USD. A lot of signups were received from Finland and Netherlands and that was reflected in the draw.

Miriel the Magical Merchant HD is a magical time management game. The game has reached the top 10 on several portals and appeared on the 1st position of Mac download charts on one of the largest casual gaming portals. The game features several hours of game play, over 60 levels, a mini game, a branching storyline, and even unlockable real life cooking recipes.

Miriel's Enchanted Mystery HD is the sequel to Miriel the Magical Merchant. This time the player reveals the mystery behind a strange egg artifact while crisscrossing the country with her grandma. Swingworm by 10tons Now Available on Several Platforms Including Mac OS X and Android

TAMPERE, Finland - January 10, 2012 - Swingworm by 10tons is now available on most mobile platforms and Mac OS X. The game can now be played on Android, iOS, Mac OS X, webOS, bada, and Symbian^3.

Swingworm introduces a new interesting way to play a platform game. To move Swingworm, the player grabs his tail or head and swings them as far as Swingy's rubbery body allows. Swingworm clings on to surfaces automatically with his teeth and spiked tail.

The game challenges the player to complete the levels as fast as possible. To do this the player needs to navigate Swingworm around obstacles and enemies, ride and pull moving platforms and smash objects in the way. To collect all the three stars from each level, the player needs also some strategy in addition to skill. There are countless of possible routes through the levels and some are better than others. Swingworm is universal, so it supports both tablets and phones where possible.

10tons Announces Swingworm, a Platformer Experience Like No Other

Tampere, Finland � November 10, 2011 � Swingworm is a refreshing new platformer game by 10tons Ltd, makers of award winning games such as Azkend, Sparkle, Grim Joggers, and Joining Hands.

The titular character in Swingworm is a stretchy caterpillar determined to climb the highest tree in Whispering Woods. His dream is to see the Moon with his own eyes from the top of that tree. The adversary in this swinging tale is the sinister Big Bug who claims to own the tree and demands delicious berries as a payment for climbing the tree.

Controlling Swingworm has an original and intuitive feel. The player moves Swingworm by grabbing his head or tail and flinging or pulling it as far as his stretchy body allows. Swingworm holds on to surfaces with his teeth and spiked tail and must always remain attached to a surface from either end.

10tons Releases Azkend 2 Teaser Trailer

10tons releases first live gameplay footage from Azkend 2. Facebook fans can win an iPad 2.

TAMPERE, Finland � October 13, 2011 - 10tons has released first gameplay footage from Azkend 2. Azkend 2 is a sequel to the multiplatform hit game Azkend. The sequel introduces full screen animated background art, scripted story sequences and several new interesting game modes.

"Our goal is to create a sequel that improves the game on all fronts. We've also listened to the customer feedback from the first game. For example, the game boards now scale to fill the screen and we also have a new game mode for those who like to reach for the highscore.", commented Sampo T�yssy, the producer of Azkend 2.

The sequel will build upon the signature features that people loved in the first game: polished playability, a mysterious storyline, and breathtaking environments. Visions game mode will also return, but this time all sceneries are animated. The storyline begins when a ship is sunk by a maelstrom and the hero wakes up in a very strange place.

Azkend 2 will be available for for PC, Mac, iOS, Android, bada, webOS and Symbian^3. First versions will be released before the end of 2011.

Dragon Portals HD from 10tons now available on iPad and HP TouchPad

Dragon Portals HD is now available for iPad and HP TouchPad. The iPhone version of the game won the Pocket Gamer Gold Award in 2009.

TAMPERE, Finland - September 8, 2011. Colorful dragons from the Pocket Gamer Gold Award winning Dragon Portals land on the iPad and HP TouchPad. The latest version is called Dragon Portals HD and it's an action puzzle game suitable for all ages. The game features unique game mechanics, hand drawn full screen art, and a custom sound track.

The brand new HD version was redesigned to take advantage of the larger screen estate. It has also received countless small tweaks and several gameplay changes that improve the game.

"This new HD version is probably the most refined and most beautiful version of Dragon Portals to date", commented Sampo T�yssy, one of the co-authors of Dragon Portals.

The player takes on a mission to set free the friendly dragons. The dragons are bound to the ground by dark magic which the player has to abolish. Over a dozen different power ups and more than 70 levels keep the player entertained for hours. There are also two additional game modes that provide a different experience from the main game.

The Symbian^3 version of Sparkle takes the grand prize in game category of Nokia's Calling All Innovators 2011 competition.

Tampere, Finland - August 29, 2011 - 10tons' magical orb slinging game Sparkle wins the grand prize in Nokia's Calling All Innovators competition. The grand prize winners receive 250,000 USD in cash and a sizable marketing push from Nokia worth 1.9 million USD. Sparkle was selected as the game category grand prize winner from among over 800 entries.

Innovative Puzzler Joining Hands Now Available for Nokia and bada

Tampere, Finland - August 4, 2011 - Popular puzzler Joining Hands from 10tons Ltd is now available for Nokia and bada platforms.

Joining Hands is an innovative puzzle game about little creatures called Peablins who believe that holding hands with friends will chase away the Bogeymen of the mysterious Whispering Woods. The player's task is to arrange the Peablins so that each of their many hands will find another hand to hold.

Several new creatures will join the Peablin family as the player progresses through the game's increasingly challenging levels. Over 160 levels provide hours of brain exercise for even the most hardcore puzzle fans.
